What is Tigernut Flour?
Despite its name, Tigernuts are not actually nuts but rather edible tubers that grow underground, which are harvested and dried. We have ground these into a fine flour that is ideal for use in baking, adding to protein shakes or sprinkling over your cereal.
Benefits of Tigernut Flour
Tigernut Flour has a slightly sweet, nutty flavour and an excellent nutritional profile that is high in fibre. Tigernuts are also gluten free so is a perfect alternative to flours from wheat and other cereal grains that contain gluten. The natural sugars contained within the flour may also prevent the need for adding more sugar or sweeteners during baking.
How to use Tigernut Flour
Tigernut Flour can be used as a direct substitute for white flour in baking. In addition to this, you can use Tigernut Flour to increase your daily fibre intake by adding to your protein shake or sprinkling over foods such as cereal.
Please note that the labelling on this product is provided in English as a minimum. French, Italian, German, Spanish, Danish, Swedish and Finnish may also be present on a product by product basis.
Use as an alternative to plain white flour in cooking and/or baking.
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. This product is intended to be used alongside an active lifestyle and a balanced diet.
May contain soy, milk and egg.
